About
We are Alaskan women frustrated about not having a national voice regarding what’s happening in the Media ever since the announcement of Alaska’s governor to run on the Republican ticket for vice president of the United States. The governor speaks for her family and herself, but she certainly doesn’t speak for many of us Alaskan women, our families, friends, co-workers, and the diversity of people and cultures in Alaska. We have been receiving emails with websites to view, videos to see, news paper articles to read, and, of course, cable network news that is mostly one-sided on the issue and biased in their reporting.
Out of this frustration and the many websites and blogs we have visited, Alaska Hockey Moms for Obama was born! We wanted to pull as much information together on one site so people didn’t have to go searching around the internet. We created this blog to give people a platform to respond and share their views with others. With less than 50 days left until the general election, we encourage you to participate, to educate, and to disseminate this website to as many people as you can.
This is a grassroots effort in "internet community organizing" for change! This is about the destiny of our nation! Yes, we can! Yes, we can! Yes, we can heal our nation!

On August 26, 1920, women won the right to vote and have their own hockey teams too!
Go Alaska Hockey Moms for Obama!
